DIY

Client Consultation
Visit our showroom to appreciate the variety of products that we offer and have one of our deck experts walk you through the decision process.
For your convenience you can also request a quote through our website and one of our deck designers will contact you to book a convenient time to come to your home to discuss your deck project.

Deck Proposal
Client will receive a proposal package including: plan view, deck specifications and estimate to be reviewed. Proposal packages will either be provided at the first visit or e-mailed within 5 business days if additional information is required.
 
Permits
We at Mighty Decks can assist with permits as well as Alberta1 call. We will provide all drawings required by the city. This includes, Site Plan, Design Plan, Blue prints with elevation plans.
 
Demolition & Site Preparation
We will remove existing deck if required and prepare the area for new piles to be install. We will mark out dig area for Alberta1 call and mark out all Pile locations. Materials and a construction debris bag will be delivered at this time. All construction debris will be removed from site.
 
Deck Construction
We only use 2 types of deck supports. Screw piles for attached decks & deck blocks placed on 24”x24” patio pad for low level floating decks only. Framing material used will be ACQ/PWF pressure treaded, ACQ MicroPro or Cedar. Triple laminated beams with joists placed at 12” or 16” on center. Existing Ledgers will be inspected and replaced if required. Ledger is installed using 3 5/8” LedgerLOK 12” on center in a W pattern.
 
Deck Completion
Once the deck is completed we pressure wash the deck and complete a yard clean-up. Professional yard service will be supplied if applicable. We are not complete until homeowner is 100% satisfied.
